Grocery shopping in Prague
Heya,..
...so you have arrived and you wonder where to go grocery shopping??
Here is short intro for few stores you will meet around Prague....
1.) ALBERT
You will see Albert quite often around the Prague, it is one of the typical supermarkets that you probably have at home too. Perhaps little bit cheaper than Tesco but still falls into middle price category.
2.) Tesco
Tesco is great when you need something during the late night ours because they have several Tesco-express shops around city centre open late. Also if you are looking for specialty international foods such as some indian curries, spices, Digestives, greek yogurt, etc.
3.) Zabka
Smaller convenient stores around the city. Prices vary from cheap to expensive so you just have to be selective. One is "conveniently" placed 100m from main University building in Estonska street- get your snacks here before or after the lessons!!
4.) Lidl
Lidl falls into cheap discount stores, which is great when you are on the budget!! What we like is the that they have thematic months, which mean you can get cheap E.G. tortillas, salsas, tequila during the Mexican thematic month or various soya sauces, tofu or ramen during Japanese month...
Other shops you may come around are ....
5.) Kaufland (middle range pricing)
6.) Billa (more expensive but good quality)
7.) Penny market (cheaper)
